This is my teacher royal hartigan's arrangement of Caravan, which is a jazz standard originally written by Juan Tizol. royal modified the piece to fit into a 15/8 time cycle. Through the course of the tune, we explore the various ways to feel fifteen: 7 1/2 quarter notes, 5 dotted quarter notes, and 3 groupings of 5 eighth notes. ...
