Excellent production of Jonathan Demme (The Silence of the Lambs) which tells the story of a gay lawyer with AIDS.
Demme addresses this issue in a way quite moralistic, with a tasteful but a little exaggerated, however nicely conveys the message. The film highlights the ignorance, how little people know of the disease, the clearest example is the scene in which Hanks goes to the lawyer, plus (of course) of prejudice and discrimination. It's good to be the first American production to address this issue and has a bright and intelligent dialogues in court.
As for the performances of Tom Hanks is superb, plays a very complex character in an extraordinary way, and does not fall within the concept that spreads commonly homosexual (like banners), being the first actor to win an Oscar (deserved well) playing the role of a gay. By the way the opera scene overboard explaining Maria Callas aria while sandwiched expression on the face of Denzel Washington, which makes a good accompaniment and experience a great metamorphosis along the plot.
The picture is quite good and the soundtrack "Streets of Philadelphia" by Bruce Springsteen puts the icing on a very intense and emotional film.
a soundtrack of the piercing I know where you stop the story in the soul, where the routine, which shows the faces of a city and a landmark film in which the important thing is to demonstrate that we are important as human beings and we are not a special point or number of our existence.
There is the issue of homosexuality, what is relevant or illness, is that human beings discriminate discriminate on
