Margaret Harshaw taught Dr. Bert Neely, who is my voice teacher. Her training came from Anna Schoen-René, who taught at the Juilliard School. Anna Schoen-René studied under Pauline Viardot, the daughter of Manuel Vincente Del Popolo Garcia. Pauline Viardot was also the sister of Maria Malibran, the celebrated soprano.
