London: 29 March 2009 A rare treat this afternoon. Dozens of stars, no rain and no heaving crowds. The awards were held at the Grosvenor House Hotel and only a few in the know folk showed up to man the barricades early on. It still meant an eight hour wait and plenty of tension among fans, autograph wanters and camera folk while waiting for the barriers to go up and plenty of confusion as we were moved here, there and back here again.
