BNSF Railway's Laurel to Shelby local climbs up the hill out of the Yellowstone River Valley at Shorey Road on the Laurel Subdivision near Billings, Montana. All of the traffic that would normally head over Montana Rail Link has been diverted around the collapsed Mullan Tunnel west of Helena leading to increased traffic over the Laurel Sub.
