Novelist Pamela Duncan reads an excerpt from her forthcoming novel THE WILDER PLACE. This reading occurred at the Berea College Appalachian Center on 01 May 2009; she was the Spring 2009 featured author for the University's literary journal APPALACHIAN HERITAGE. Duncan is the author of the award winning books MOON WOMEN, PLANT LIFE and THE BIG BEAUTIFUL. She teaches at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
