One of the most deliriously beautiful films of the early 1970's, Brewster McCloud was Altman's quirky follow-up to the subversive MASH. Often overlooked by lovers of 70's cinema, this movie nevertheless points the way ahead for Altman's subsequent work (3 Women etc.), as well as for future film-makers (Wes Anderson seems to owe particular debt to Brewster for example).
