The Shield (2002)

Best Police show if not best show on television.
It's great seeing Vic and his team cracking down on crooks and getting themselves out of their own messes each week and the overarching stories will keep you coming back for more.
Can't say enough good things about this show. You will be hooked from pilot.

I can't say enough good things about this show, so far every single season has left me wanting more and I'm sort of disappointed that S7 will be the final season. Vic's various crimes, and the way he's gone about covering them up have always kept me entertained.

Alot of people seem to dislike the way the show is filmed, with the "realistic" shaking of the camera during chase scenes and such. I don't personally think it has much bearing on the show at all, and sometimes it seems very fitting.

This show has taken Michael Chiklis from being basically a nobody to being the kind of actor that I would go to see a film just because he was in it. His portrayal of Vic mackey is top notch.

Overall a 10/10.

So far this show has lead to 2 Golden Globes and many nominations. Every show is action packed with crime, corruption, and the comradery of The Strike Team, a special unit of the LAPD.
