"What I liked best about Macross was the characters' interactions and development. This series did explore a lot of the human mind and behavior and although is has a lot of silly and dull moments, those are mostly funny and entertaining. Overall a great series, very interesting plot and characters. The animation in the beginning is poor, but gets better as it goes on. Didn't age very well, though."
