"Jan 21 - Strangely enough I enjoyed this film a whole lot more than the memoir that it is based on -John Hurt shot straight into my heart, he was magnificent as Quentin Crisp - I could identify with the protagonist's alienation full on - The costumes, make up, hair (henna, loads and loads of it!) and set design were perfect, like the whole thing was shot at my house"
