Reviews of Keeping Up Appearances

We have all known at one stage a version of Hyacinth Bucket, but Patricia Routledge's character is the extreme. The situation is exacerbated by nobody being impolite enough to tell her off for her pushiness and arrogance. Of course I have to assume that anyone could get a word in edgeways! Clive Swift is a wonderful foil for her as the ever suffering husband. And the others that play her less than perfect family are all comic treats in their own right.
The conversations with and about her philandering gay son are a cute, cheeky addition as well.
A well timed, written and directed comic classic
