The only anime I've ever been able to sit down and watch without feeling extremely bored and uncomfortable. I thought the Hellsing series would kick start me into a whole new faze of watching anime, but there are simply no others around that are as good. With memorable characters, a fantastic soundtrack and hilarious over the top action, this has everything I want from an amine series.
I've watched the 3 so-far released OVA episodes of Hellsing Ultimate, and so far I have to say I am thoroughly impressed.
This is one awesome series, Alucard continues to be one of my favorite characters of late, and I love how the show incorporates all the mythos of Dracula into the character.

"The OVAs of this series are awesome. Bloody? yes. Dark? most certainly. Totally sweet vampires (not those metro Twilight vampires or those wimp-ass True Blood vampires) doing bad ass vampire s*!#? you bet'cha.
In the Horror genre for sure, if you are not into that, i'd give this a pass otherwise, on with the slaughter!"

"The kick-ass series got upgraded with consistent ingenious graphics, a cool plot (though I don't know if it's a filler or not because I didn't read the manga) and a darker setting and atmosphere that made it even more authentic than the original.
There are still more parts to come so I'm really looking forward to more "blood splatter'ing", Nazi killing and more miscellaneous insanity. Because that insanity is what makes it so appealing.
