Definitely my favorite cooking show. Why? Because Alton gives us the science and facts behind many things, and I'm a sucker for useless (sometimes it's useless) information.

He's got some great recipes, and adds some education in there so you know why you are doing what you're doing. Very practical too. Try out his pickle recipe.

"The very first day we got the Food Network, this was the show that was on the first time I switched it on. And the episode I watched that day (Chocolate Chip Cookies) is still one of my all-time favorites. Not only food, but food science, and done with such humor... Alton Brown will always be a favorite, I think."
