"There was no escape from G.I. Joe in the 80's. But who would want to? The show was fun. Crazy vehicles, blasters, Cobra Commander and his raspy voice, and... Baroness. "

My favorite childhood cartoons - Back to the past (20 tv items)

"French title: G.I. Joe Notes: This show was actually a big commercial for all those toys (which I really had to buy). In spite of that, it was still pretty cool and I watched it a lot. "

"I think being a boy during the 80s required you to watch this show & own toys from it. I liked it a lot better before I reached an age where I was bothered by the fact they were all lousy shots...I mean, trained armed forces battling it out and their live ammo NEVER HITS ANYONE ALIVE? Lame. This made up for it (if a little late). The villains were my favorites. "

And with the coolest soldier codenames ever --Snake Eyes, Duke, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck-- winning the war on terror should be no problem. Good will always win out over evil, because good guys work together (Team Work! Cooperation!), while bad guys are ruthless cowards who turn tail and run whenever G.I. Joe' laser guns get to zappin'. As Sergeant Slaughter once said: "Our enemies are "
