Gemini Man was an American TV series starring Ben Murphy as Agent Sam Casey. Sam Casey was exposed to a large dose of radiation and injured whilst recovering a downed US Government space satellite from the ocean floor. The release of radiation disrupted Sam's DNA and unexpectedly turned him invisible. To restore Sam to normal, Dr. Abigail "Abby" Lawrence designed a sub-miniature nuclear-powered digital wrist band resembling a watch to regulate, monitor and stabilize Sam's molecular structure. The watch was actually a miniaturized version of the Life Support System that saved Sam's life after the accident. As long as the gold contacts at the base of the watch touched Sam's skin, he stayed visible. When contact was broken, he vanished. Sam could stay invisible for 15 minutes a day without upsetting his DNA; any longer and he would disintegrate and die. Both Sam and Abby reported to Leonard Driscoll, the director of INTERSECT.
A pilot of the series aired on May 10, 1976, and the series began airing on September 23 of that year. Although 11 episodes were produced, only five were aired before the cancellation of the series. Richard Dysart played Leonard Driscoll in the pilot, and William Sylvester played Driscoll during the series.
