Firefly (2002)

This TV show is probably one of the best i have seen. It continues improving throughout the series, the characters are really intriguing and. There is something that everyone will like in this show whether it's the ongoing story or just the way the characters act with each other.

Be warned though because this series will seriously piss you off knowing that the only continuation of the story is the film (also worth a watch).

If you don't deal with loss well do not watch this show.
You will get angry knowing that this (and the movie) is all there is too these epic characters.
The show just gets better and better and the crew becomes a strong group of likeable characters.
The overall deep story is barely touched upon but what is seen I totally love!
If any show needs a second chance it's Firefly

When Firefly came out I was put off at the thought of watching a space western. I guess a lot of people felt that way because the series only lasted half a season.

But after watching it on DVD, I was amazed by the great mix of humor, action, drama that Joss Whedon packed into these 13 or so episodes. It's not like anything you've ever seen on television and probably nothing you'll see in the forseeable future.

I dare you not to fall in love with each of the characters in Firefly. A fantastic show that should have been given a chance to bloom.

Anyone who hasn't seen this show either needs to, or will never try because they cant stand the thought of watching something Joss Whedon produced. Yep, its the dude who brought us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Angel, but Firefly is nothing like these, its actually quite an intelligent show! (Heck thats coming from a Buffy/Angel fan!) Firefly is set 500 years in the future, it is not your typical sci fi, lasers and star ship's, it paints a more realistic view of how the galaxy will be, people will have branched out colonizing land as far as the edge of space, much like the original settlers in America, fulfilling manifest destiny on a grande scale. Strange pairing of sci-fi and western genres, it somehow works. 14 high quality episodes before the series was prematurely canceled. Great character development and plots throughout.

Para el que no tenga ni la minima idea de que trata esta serie, creo que alcanza con decir que Joss Whedon (su creador, quien escribio tambien Buffy y Angel) nos muestra su idea del futuro lejano… unos 500 años hacia adelante. Bastante realista en mi opinión, porque como de la Tierra no queda mucho para habitar el gobierno ambientó el resto de los planetas para que los humanos vivan en ellos. Cual gobierno? La Alianza, una especie de unificación entre China y USA, las únicas dos potencias que quedaron. Yep, bastante realista.La historia esta contada de la forma en la que Joss nos tiene acostumbrados; con buenos diálogos, con flashbacks muy utiles y sobre todo con 9 interesantes personajes.
