A prostitute is found dead in a hotel room. The famous author Alexander Gramann was probably her client. However, he denies being preset there that evening. The police find blood at the scene but not from the dead woman. It could be from a second prostitute. Gramann is suspected but he has an alibi.
In a hotel room, the corpse of high-class prostitute Monica Berla is found. At first it is unclear how the woman died. In the room, the investigators find a lot of fingerprints. But they also discover blood on a bed sheet, from a woman, but not that of the dead deceased. Was there a third person at the scene? And who was Monica Berlis's final client?
In the handbag of the deceased Commissioner Joe Hoffer finds the book "A Return To Values" by the famous author Alexander Gramann. His fingerprints are also found at the hotel's safe. Had he dealt with the two women want to have fun?
Dr Robert Kolmaar and Dr Judith Sommer autopsy the corpse and it reveals that Monica Berlis's death was triggered by respiratory arrest. Traces of a strong sedative are also discovered in her blood - so-called co-drops. This, together with the cocaine which Monica took earlier in the evening could have led to her death. But would such an experienced prostitute have taken the drops? Soon the corpse of a second woman is discovered.
Meanwhile, at home Robert Kolmaarhas has very different concerns. His daughter Anna tries to deal with trouble and hardship in the acting business is to establish and humor in money. Kolmaar picks her - reluctantly - over and over again under the arms.
