I saw this after watching the live-action movies. They were rather jumbled and I'd give them 4 stars (except for Erika Toda's amazing performance), but they were creative enough that I gave this a try. Its easy to see now that a very brilliant and meticulously crafted storyline in which every possible nuance is considered and explored was stuffed into the much shorter running time of the movies.... read more

This is my favorite anime. I know alot of people says it's overrated and stuff, but I actually really do love it. The plot, the characters, the drama. Perfection. I cried and luaghed. It's actually he first anime I watched. I think I've watched it like 8 times or so. (Yeah I know.. I'm obsessed)

Light is such a wonderfully egotistical douche, but somehow likable like Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. L is a genius who somehow manages to track down Light Yagami and figure out that he's Kira. Excellent, Excellent anime. Demons, Death, and Crime all in one. It's one of a kind just as Berserk is.
