buffy used to be one of my favorite shows ever and i rated it 10/10 but now that i'm watching at once more after a couple of years, i can't help but realize that i probably got way too sucked into it back then.

the stories are mostly really great but buffy is pretty annoying, dawn is probably the most annoying character i've ever seen in any tv or movie production and the "big bads" of season at least season 4 and 5 seem ridiculous (i haven't watched 6 and 7 yet, can't remember the finale of season 7 any more).

i don't know why they added that stupid "hyper-girly" character or why they couldn't see that neither adam nor gloria were interesting, it's really a pity because that show had such huge potential. but at least angel mostly succeeded where buffy failed.

Doesn't deserve the disrespect it gets!

Buffy is one of them shows which you either love to pieces or despise for being lame. I guess it depends on where you stand on the social scheme of things as to wether or not you connect with it or look down on it.
It has brilliant stories and fun episodes that many of its target audience (i would say 13-17) are able to agree with, it is a show that is purely meant for this kind of audience so if you are of that age i think you need to watch this now! The sad fact is that since it has finished it has disappeared from all recognition and thus people are no longer growing up with this to aid them. If you like fantasy you will enjoy this, if you like escapism you will enjoy this, but if you are unable to suspend seriousness you will not enjoy this for what it is. If you must watch the first season bear in mind that it is awful, and the show really picks up from season 2 onwards!

deeper and greater than most give credit for. this is my favorite tv show ever. it has taught me more than anything in my life. this is the best philosophy, in my opinion.
