Sports movies aren’t supposed to make men cry but “Brian’s Song” the great movie that it is, leaves uncontrollable tears of joy and sadness in telling the story of NFL stars Gale Sayers and Brian Piccolo. Billy Dee Williams and James Caan deliver such humanity in their roles that their best moments really his you right in the chest. As both a sports movie and drama, this one is an open field touchdown."
