" The Ups: It gives a fascinating background to the "Battlestar: Galactica" universe with the first Man-Cyclon War. There is a lot of action (of course) and we see some primitive Cylons. The young actor playing Adama is actually pretty good and sounds almost like Edward James Olmos sometimes. The Downs: The problem is that we all know what happens later in the story with Adama so while a fascinating prequel it could be that it would have been boring to follow it for too long as a series.
