"This series tries something new and although some things are kind of far fetched, it's not bad at all. The relationships amongst the group are realistic and not typically 'sweet' you get to see often. But what got into those people's heads when they decided to name a character Anaru? Seriously?
When you take a quick search for it's definition in Japanese: 'Japanese transliteration of 'anal', meaning, in this instance, anal sex. In current use.'
I see what you did there."
"I highly recommend watching Ano Hana if you are a fan of dramas like Clannad. It isn't AS good as Clannad: After Story, but it is good enough to get and 8 out 10 and you should be watching this.
Genre: Drama, Romance, Slice of life, Tragedy

"Favorite slice-of-life: Ano Hana
NOTE: slice-of-life is my favorite genre; so to cut down the selection, I chose my favorite of the series I watched recently.
Other favorite include: Nodame Cantabile, Honey and Clover, Azumanga Daioh, Usagi Drop, Denno Coil, Windy Tales, Haibane Renmei, Hataraki Man, and Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora."
"I give props to this series for building up a story about friendship and its hardships that never actually made much of an impact in me in its run, but that by the end, everything simply becomes perfection, while hitting the human in you with one hundred emotions. I'm not referring to a happy or sad ending, but to the whole concept of conclusion. The series simply ends on a perfect note."
