A good little animation bringing together Japanese animé and hip-hop music.
Fantastic stylised graphics and soundtrack by RZA accompany a bloodthirsty tale of revenge as a young boy is orphaned, vowing revenge for his assassinated father. He grows up nurturing an afro of immense proportions, wielding a samurai sword longer than you and a bad-ass attitude to match.

Sep 5, instant watch
I was in a bad mood (an angry, agressive, hating the world kind of mood) the other night so I needed some good anime to distract me from real life. I definitely picked the right one to watch.
Probably one of the best, if not the best, anime series I've seen. I put it on my movie list because it was only 5 episodes- just over 2 hours and just about movie length.
I knew I had to watch Afro Samurai as soon as I read the title, but it was much better than I expected. It's"

"Its a solid action anime filled with bloody sword fighting scenes. The voice acting is in English and the main character is played by Samuel L Jackson. (Btw i´m not a fan of dub versions)"
"A short series, followed up with a movie. This series is...odd? Its not what you might expect from something with Samuel L Jackson as the leads voice. "Samuel L. Jackson voices the protagonist!
After watching his father die in a duel against an unbeatable villian known only as 'Justice,' young Afro fixes his life on the study of swords and revenge. Forever chased by powerful enemies in a lawless technology-speckled dystopia, he evades bullets and blade to reach his final prey: a man who wil"

"Afro Samurai excels in its art work: fantastic animation, music and voice acting. This is the kind of production values I want in my anime. The story is pretty generic, but you watch this for the raw entertainment value! This anime gives a Bloodlust and Ninja Scroll vibe."

Driven by the single vision of becoming the number one samurai and literally cutting down all who stand in his way.
It was lots of fun with original death sequences stacking up along the way.
Unlike some of the other animé stories I have seen it managed to remain comprehensible throughout and followed a logical sequence of events.
The only let down for me was regrettably the ” read more
