"Possibly the best kid's show ever made. The people involved had a goal to make the show funny, weird, sad and beautiful and I say they did an amazing job.
Even as an adult, the jokes are still funny, the absurdity is still sharp, but now I'm more aware of the melancholy and poignancy that ran through the series. It never becomes overbearing, it just serves to make the show a little more complex. As an adult, I can also appreciate the insane celebrity cameos on the show. They include Steve Busce"

"'On Christmas Pete' is a great episode of this terrific show. Little Pete tries to prolong Christmas, as all kids are wont to do. He just has a better plan than most."
"What a delightfully subversive kids' show! This is one the kids will love, but is particularly great for adults too, with smart and funny writing. One other great thing about this show is the music, with an indie lover's who's who of great acts, including Stephen Merrit, The Apples in Stereo and Mark Mulcahy's Miracle Legion.
In "A Hard Day's Pete," Little Pete, hardly a music lover, stumbles upon a garage band (Polaris, an offshoot of Miracle Legion) playing a tune that he falls in love with."
