- Discussion of improvements or new ideas
- Asking for help on using listal

I try and reply to as many threads as possible, If I don't reply it doesn't mean the idea is bad it probably means that the idea may be implemented in the medium or long term.

Feel free to bring up issues again or bump threads which you feel are important. Ideas that are frequently mentioned are more likely to be implemented.

Always start a new threads for new ideas or bug reports unless they closely relate to the original thread topic

Is there a way to delete messages from the "Mail" section? Mine is getting quite cluttered up, and I want to be able to delete select messages, but cannot see any way to do so.

Remove played game.
hello, im new here and checking it out, so far, so good, but... I have accidently added a game as 'played' and I would like to remove it b/c i have not played it. How do i go about doing so? Thanks in advance.

aslo forgot to mention is there a FAQ section that I am no seeing? I may have other questions but dont want to fill up the forums if they have all ready been addressed.

Jessica, I don't think we can at the moment. It's a feature for Tom to consider though.

dgtlb, you can either change the status to "unplayed" or remove it from your Games section altogether. For the first, go to the section it is listed on, find the item, and simply click the "unplayed" tag under the star ratings. For the second option. Go to the list again, check the box in the first column next to the item, scroll down to the bottom of the page to With selected perform action and either click OK to delete it or select another option from the dropdown list.

Like Jessica, I'd like to have a feature that can remove messages that are useless.
Tom, is there any way you can come up with a solution??? I'm swamped with unwanted and OLD messages.

How do you remove the "Wanted" tag from an item? It is not immediately clear how to do this with the updated platform.

The check box and options are not available on Firefox Mozilla or the Safari web browsers. I don't know if this is Listal policy, or if you are already aware of these problems. Fortunately, my work computer has Internet Explorer so I took care of the problem.

It's was a bug but has been fixed now, you should be able to set the avatar image.

I use firefox as my main browser but I think you may have been using [yourusername].listal.com to edit your listings.

This was not available before but I changed it so you can now edit using this url.

Originally the plan was for [yourusername].listal.com to be view only which is why the edit options did not appear. This was confusing which is why I've now changed it.

Any news on being able to rate TV Shows by Season or Episode?

Can we possibly list Authors by list view? or different views? No there is only one way to view it with picture. It would be nice to have the option to view them as a list with no pictures just like in the books view.

Could you delete this? or change the title? I tried starting a opic and I wound up at the end of another thread and my title apparently replaced its which seems odd to me.

I'd like to be able to edit Music & Books items. TV & Movies editing is great, but it's a bit frustrating when an artist or album's name is off by a space or a "the" or some other stupid little error from Amazon.

I know alot of people would appreciate it.

Role playing section!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A role playing forum would be the final nail in the coffin for this place. Take an active role and start dishing out the bans instead. Movies, games, music or book snever get discussed in the forum section these days.

The anime section shouldn't exist at all, you people are like a tumour on listal and nobody cares that you are the leader because you don't have any powers to do anything.

i say dis... Delete the old Roleplay Threads and then we can have one RP thread, JUST one, dat might work, also, grand, the only reason u hate the anime section is cuz EVERYONE is obsessed with naruto and NO other show... now if we had more diverse anime-likings it would make it a lot better... but, everybody likes naruto thats under the age of 15 pretty much,

You don't speak about naruto though, and that's not why I care. You spam the entire forum with SPAM and treat every thread like an instant messaging service. PM each other more often and save the forums for discussion, not casual chat.

meh -.- actually... a lot of people do talk about naruto, u, like every other older person i knwo, see the worse things u can find and completely ignore anything good -.-

Purging the anime section should be considered a must rather than a suggestion. Hopefully it's a matter of time. Once there are moderators around to moderate the anime section, then it should be brought back and anything that isn't anime discussion should be deleted.

The facebook apps are here but for a number reasons I haven't finished them or really promoting them much yet.

I am thinking my strategy for implementing it was wrong and I may redo them in the future, I also felt that the facebook site made it slow (and had lots of errors) and ultimately making an inferior site to the main one.

For example of the errors I was talking about - I just clicked the movies list and it showed an error and then clicked again and it didn't. It's hard to debug what's going wrong, I don't know if it's my implementation or a problem with the facebook servers.

One of the big problems with these facebook apps is that I wouldn't want to promote listal in its current state, thanks to the scum who have overrun the groups section. That really should be a priority to clean up, Tom.

Just start getting rid of people who don't contribute regularly or ever to the listal main site PLEASE! People are openly using this place as an MSN substitute and it has to stop but nothing it being done. Bring down the hammer, Tom! People are starting to think this is a myspace-esque website thanks to the calibre of human being they find here.
