" July 3 1921 - October 23 1952 Peters was injured when a rifle accidentally discharged when she was hunting. A bullet lodged in her spinal cord led to permanent paralysis from the waist down. She tried to carry on working but found it difficult to find roles to suit her needs. When her marriage broke down in 1948, she fell into a state of a depression. Her health deteriorated until her death. Cause of death: pneumonia, chronic kidney problems, and starvation - Aged 31"
