Renato Aragão is a comedian and Brazilian actor, known for his work in the group Os Trapalhões. The comedian's artistic name is Didi Mocó Sonrisal Colesterol Novalgina Mufumu, or simply Didi. Born in January 13, 1935 in Sobral, Ceará, Antônio Renato Aragão (his full name) began his artistic career in 1960, in TV Ceará, with the Vídeo Alegre program, at the same time as he worked in a bank. He graduated in Law in 1963, but never got to partake in the profession. Already in 1963, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, and was contracted for TV Tupi, where he worked with his future friend Trapalhões, Manfried Sant'Anna, Dedé. He inaugurated the program "The Adoráveis Trapalhões", later known as "Os Trapalhões", in 1966 in TV Excelsior of São Paulo, where he shared the stage with Wanderley Cardoso, Ivon Curi and Ted Boy Marino. Then the character appeared for which he is best known: Didi Mocó. Later, the group became known as "Os Trapalhões", consisting of Dedé Santana, Mussum and Zacarias. Another famous character was Aparício, a mute beggar and of good heart, who interacts with the serious voice of an announcer (played by Zacarias). After the end of the Trapalhões, Renato Aragão started to lead the program "A Turma do Didi". He is also Special Representative of UNICEF for the Brazilian Children, and he stands out for many years as presenter of the "Criança Esperança", a campaign of annual solidarity promoted by the Rede Globo and for UNICEF. Renato Aragão has 12 siblings, is married (for the second time) to photographer Lílian Taranto, and he has five children, four from the first marriage to Martha Rangel (Paulo, Ricardo, Renato and Juliana) and Lívian from the second marriage (born in 1999, when Aragão was already 64 years old).
