It was recorded in Cardiff with producer Dave Eringa and mixed by Chris Lord Alge in the U.S. The album features guest vocals from Ian McCulloch ("Some Kind of Nothingness"), John Cale on piano ("Auto-Intoxication") and Duff McKagen playing bass ("A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun"). "Manic's newest album in their own words is; "We're going for big radio hits on this one ... It isn't a follow-up to Journal For Plague Lovers.". Ok, it sure is like that. It's very poppy album. Easy to listen and there is many good song. Of course the best one is (It's Not War) Just the End of Love that also got most of playtime in radiochanels. I also like Postcards from a Young Man, it has a very good pop song meldodies.
