Ellen Allien's keen sense for a heavy bass-keynote gives Apparat's melancholic superstructure its cathedral of sound-adhesion, and with the involvement of Apparat, Ellen Allien's "brainish" music comes alive again. Together, the two interpenetrate, empathize and move their own artistic borders.
