"I remember listening to this album and not being able to focus on anything else. I heard the vocals, guitar, bass, and drums equally, and had to listen to it a few times in a row so I could focus on each instrument. Today I'd say they took The Doors' spirit and mixed it with Zeppelin's sound. Few bands hop from psychedelia to punk to metal to funk to soulful balladry so effortlessly, and Jane's did so without coming off as pretentious or insincere.
