The most raw and on-point Eminem has ever been in his career. It is the best rap album ever. Some people don't like rap, but I really don't see how you can't like this.

"Day 28 - A song that makes you feel guilty As disturbing as it sounds I like this song. I know about half of the lyrics and I'm always saying the awful wife killing lines. I used to do this with my friend in a way that one of us was Eminem and one was Kim... lol."

RS 500: Part 3 (100 music items)

""Before his second LP, Eminem was a shock rapper with a sense of humor; after Mathers, he was the voice of a generation. "I'm not a role model, and I don't claim to be," he said, but on songs like "The Real Slim Shady," he creates a vast, pissed-off audience. And no one could deny the narrative heft of "Stan."'"

TIME's 100 Greatest Albums (100 music items)

"“His debut, The Slim Shady LP, established Eminem as a major force in both hip-hop and broader contemporary culture, but there was still doubt as to whether he would be the latest in a string of short-lived white rap novelties. The Marshall Mathers LP raised the stakes, raised his profile, and damn near raised the dead. Eminem delivered dizzying, blistering rhymes that laid bare his neuroses, his fury, and his confusion. He jumped from laugh-out-loud funny to chillingly menacing from one line "
