Interesting piece of art... Bowie was pretty low when he made this album but it doesn't sound depressive.
Well, maybe there's some melancholia and despair in "Warszawa", my favorite track together with "Art Decade".
Very atmospheric, the work of 2 geniuses.

The opening salvo of songs and up-tempo instrumentals contains the single "Sound and Vision", which shudders under the archness of Bowie deadpan vocals. Elsewhere, Bowie inhabits the brilliantly starchy European funk of "Breaking Glass" and "Always Crashing in the Same Car". That Bowie found a like mind in the eternally innovative Brian Eno is no surprise; the success of the four instrumental pieces that close Low can be attributed in no small way to the production contributions of the ex- Roxy Music keyboard player turned ambient pioneer. Bowie and Eno's experiments in a Berlin recording studio would have a massive influence on the music of subsequent decades. For this reason alone, Low is an essential David Bowie album. --James Littlewood... (more)(less)

"Jatkaa hyvin pitkälti Station to Stationin linjoilla, mutta on jopa vielä astetta kokeellisempi. Ambientit oli kyllä upeita ja levy muutenkin kiva, mutta jotain jäin kaipaamaan. Ehkä tässä ei enää ollut sellaista samankaltaista viehätystä, kun se tuntui jo kertaalleen koetulta. Kuitenkin manio levy."

"Bowie's best. First half consists of catchy pop songs and the other half consits of ambient tracks. Although I like ambient songs too, I still wished the whole album was made like the first half. It still is an excellent album."
""Moving to Berlin to kick cocaine, Bowie hooked up with producer Brian Eno. Low was the first of the trilogy of albums they made, full of electronic instrumentals and quirky funk like "Sound and Vision." The same year, Bowie also produced Iggy Pop's Lust for Life and The Idiot, both recorded in Berlin.""
