Man, is it ever hard trying to say bad things about an album that once defined how you lived. During one short period of my life one year or so ago, Led Zeppelin were everything to me I listened to their music for hours a day, I'd ramble on (no pun intended) to everyone I came in contact with about my undying love for the band, and all other music just seemed worthless when compared. Fast forward ... read more

Considered the greatest album to listen to while rollicking in bed, LZIV is Zeppelin's most greatest effort and easily their most recognizable. This also cemented their status as a 'classic' rock band, most particularly by the song Stairway to Heaven, a forever rock classic, followed by Black Dog, Misty... read more
It was about 4 years ago when I first got this album. 4 years of constant playing, yet still fresh and enjoyable with every listen. I know that is a massive cliche, but hear me out.
Led Zeppelin IV is up there with Revolver, Beggars Banquet, Rubber Soul and a few others that makes up my greatest albums ever list. And I'm not the only one. I've met many Led Zep fans over the years, and every... read more

On tracks like "Black Dog," "Misty Mountain Hop," and "Rock and Roll," the combination of Robert Plant's banshee wails and Jimmy Page's frenetic guitar playing forever altered the stylistic bent of hard rock music. And the foreboding "When the Levee Breaks" demonstrated that Zeppelin could indeed play the blues fairly straight if they so desired. Still, everything here ultimately took a back seat to the album's (and, ultimately, the band's) magnum opus--the expertly constructed and deftly executed classic, "Stairway to Heaven." --Billy AltmanJimmy Page was a top London studio guitarist before he got rich and famous as the musical leader of Led Zeppelin. The group's fourth--and arguably their finest--album is as much a tribute to his technique as a monument to his versatility. Page produced the album, co-wrote all eight songs, and played mandolin as well as all the guitars. Musically, this 1971 disc ranges from acoustic English folke ("Goin' to California" and "The Battle of Evermore," the latter featuring the late Fairport Convention frontwoman Sandy Denny) to bone-crushing, bluesy riff-slinging. On the album's centerpiece, "Stairway to Heaven," these light and dark strains are dramatically intertwined. The chiming "Four Sticks" aside, it's the Little Richard-inspired "Rock and Roll" and the tricky time changes--a Zeppelin trademark--of the fast-and-furious "Black Dog" that elevate this album into more than just a bustle in aspiring guitarists' hedgerows. --Don Waller... "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN-
There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it m"

Led Zeppelin IV is up there with Revolver, Beggars Banquet, Rubber Soul and a few others that makes up my greatest albums ever list. And I'm not the only one. I've met many Led Zep fans over the years, and everyone of them has a look of admiration, and occasionally a tear in their eye, when we start talking about IV, such is the brilliance of the album.
I think it is the fact that one half of the album is polar opposites to the other half. Half the songs are loud, heavy metal songs, the other half are mystical Celtic folk. And, it isn't a neat "Side one: Metal, Side two: Folk" type arrangeme” read more

"Everyone loves Stairway to Heaven...to the point where I get so sick of hearing people play it, it's the one song my entire life I've heard played on the guitar for at least a thousand times from anyone and everyone I've jammed with. I don't hate Zeppelin but after so long it gets boring. That's why they are here though, it inspires everybody to play.
Jimmy Page is good guitar player, and you can learn a number of things from Zeppelin if you want to, even the song Battle of Evermore which I fin"
"Led Zeppelin Atlantic Reissues
Year - Unknown (1994 I think)
Now Led Zeppelin reissues came under the table. There was no big thing announcement about them, which is good if you ask me, there really shouldn't be. There's not much of a difference, as this is the only one I have bought and only one I will buy.
These remasters sound no different than the original pressings of the Led Zeppelin albums from Atlantic. There is absolutely no difference what so ever in sound quality. The only thing i"
