In mid 1966 Jimi Hendrix and his band Experience got really popular in England but nobody knew who he was till woodstock in 1969. A great accomplishment for him to be at woodstock and people cheering him on more than the other acts yelling "more" over and over again with bareley anybody knowing who he was. Part of his admiration at the concerwas probebly because of the song purple haze and it being a type of weed(woodstock probably was the cocert with the most drug use) and because he is so great.
