Description: Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) is the debut album of American hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan, released November 9, 1993 on Loud Records and distributed through RCA Records. Recording sessions for the album took place during 1992 to 1993 at Firehouse Studio in New York City, and it was mastered at The Hit Factory. 100 Greatest American Albums of All Time (100 music items)

"New York brings the ruckus (back) The Wu-Tang Clan’s debut had all the earmarks of cultdom — masked rappers, a back story shaped by comics and kung-fu flicks, and grimy beats. Yet the octet’s output was so badass, it drew gangsta rap?jaded hip-hop fans back to New York. Standout tracks: “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Bring Da Ruckus”"

"Take nine chemically imbalanced MCs, lock them in a dingy room with nothing to subsist on but weed and kung fu flicks&133;and you get this Staten Island, New York, crew’s spare, stunning debut of space-age lo-fi funk. Standout track: “C.R.E.A.M.”"
