"I can't remember whether I first heard Bjork's voice from the Sugarcubes or her guest appearance on 808 State's EX:EL. It doesn't really matter though, because her solo work is what I love most.
What struck me about this album was that most of the songs were more like classical compositions masquerading as alternative music, with Bjork's lovely vocals adding another texture to the mix."

"I have a problem with Björk's voice: I find it incompatible with the dance-esque tracks that make up the majority of her (aptly named) debut. She needs to make more stuff like "The Anchor Song" 'cause it's beautiful. Maybe she has, I gotta check out more of her stuff.
DOOWNN TOO THE BUHHTOMM
I love how she spells that."
