An overblown and almost laughable bunch of songs from a band that I once thought had bags of potential. It is a shame that they chose to go down the route of bombastic, excessive and ultimately pretentious pop-rock instead of something a little bit more modest and refined. The album gets a 4 out of 10 because the better songs (that are obviously made for single release) are kind of enjoyable in that they make you smile as you try and stifle your laughter. I didn't really think they had any longevity though, and there was quite a bit of filler thrown in too. The worst Muse album going.

A harmless band that never reached their potential, in my humble opinion.
