Eu amo esse filme. O elenco é excelente e a história é grandiozamente desenvolvida. Com certeza tem alguns (poucos) pontos baixos, mas eu não poderia deixar de dar um 10 mesmo assim. Mark Ruffalo está um luxo, bem como todo o elenco. Roteiro e direção altamente satisfatórios, ao menos pra mim... Recomendo muito!

This film was one of those that slipped under the radar and was always one that I felt I missed out on. The premise of a code breaking crime thriller was the major attraction and one that usually always pushes my film appreciation buttons. I knew very little about the film….actually that’s and understatement, I knew nothing about the film. I knew the plot was about a murderer who used a code to give the cops clues and I knew it was based on a true story which usually always gives the film added poignancy. It goes without saying that I was horrified when Jake Gyllenhall appeared on screen! His lack of acting finesse never ceases to amaze me. Zodiac has proven to be one of the most astonishing and remarkable films I have seen in a long time, and certainly has made a spot on my favourite thrillers of all time. Not too bad, as far as suspense movies go. Definitely keeps you watching from start to finish, and there is some good acting in this movie. Good cast, good enough script - it is a good movie.

While the story is certainly interesting but very unoriginal - a serial killer named Zodiac murdered numerous people during the late 1960s and early 1970s - it failed to keep my interest for over 2 hours and 30 minutes. Jake Gyllenhaal's character, cartoonist Robert Graysmith, disappears for no reason at all several times, only to appear as suddenly as he disappeared. I loved the cast though. Great actors that are not used enough, in my opinion, in films: Anthony Edwards, Elias Koteas, Chloe Sevigny, Brian Cox, to name but a few. Cinematography was not out of this world. The music score was terrible and did not fit with the movie's ambiance. I was mainly disappointed in the length of this film more than anything else. A riveting thriller murder-mystery, based on real events of the Zodiac killer that terrorized San Fransisco in the 60s/70s. Despite it's fairly long runtime, I got so absorbed into the story that I kept thinking about it after it was over, and even did a bit of wikipedia reading on the subject the next day at work. That to me is a sign it's a great film. The acting was of very high caliber, and how could it not be with Gyllenhaal and Downey Jr., but Ruffalo really impressed me. I always just pictured him as a 'chick flick' type of actor, but his rating went up in my books based on his outstanding role in Zodiac as the lead detective on the case.

Every fan of dramas, true story, or mystery films should add this to their must-watch list.
