Watchable but disappointing on further reflection

Performance-wise, I have no complaints - the actors all did a good job. I especially liked Liev Schrieber as Victor Creed (aka Sabretooth).

With a running time of less than two hours, Wolverine moves at a fast enough pace to keep you entertained but it's too short to be totally entertaining because of a number of glaring problems.

In my limited knowledge of the X-Men ... read more

WARNING: This review may contain very minor spoilers.

Please note that this is a review of the illegal Wolverine workprint version which was leaked online at the beginning of April. It's understandable that people may find my views of this flick irrelevant as I haven't yet viewed the final cut, and some believe I have no right to judge this incomplete cut. Au contraire, my friends, ... read more

Review of the theatrical cut... It still sucks!

"Become the animal. Embrace the other side."

Let's face it: we pay to see summer movies for the explosions, the fight scenes and the action in general. They aren't required to engage us on a cerebral level; they merely offer an abundance of action during which we're required to suspend our disbelief. X-Men Origins: Wolverine, however, is definitive proof that a plateful of action is... read more

Fantasy Death Matches (44 movies items)

"Deathstroke vs Deadpool A DC vs Marvel comics death match to see would be between Deathstroke and Deadpool. Both having similar abilities in fighting and marksmanship and using similar weapons like swords and firearms. If these two fight, it would defiantly be a battle to the end. "

Movie Reviews (part 3) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: Hugh Jackman always works as Wolverine. Liev Schreiber is a great Sabretooth / Victor Creed. Great action setpieces. The Downs: Out of synch with too much of everything. Jumps to much through every time period. Takes to much creative freedoms with characters. Why cram the entire background story in one film? Kevin Durand's The Blob is laughable. Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool lack personality. Birgitte Monaghan is forgettable. Who the hell put Will I. Am in a film. Laughable CGI claws. "
