100 Greatest Animated Features (100 movies items)

"For the most part, I did not consider films that combine animation and live action for inclusion on this list. This was largely because the best of those that do, such as 'Mary Poppins' for instance, do not feature quite enough animation to justify a place on the list. However, 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' is a glorious exception. Not only is it a film filled with great animation, it is a celebration of classic Hollywood animation which allowed animation fanatics to see characters from different st"

25 From 88: My Favorite Films Of 1988 (25 movies items)

"Worlds collide as the cartoon universe & the "real" universe meet in this who-dunnit "tail" of a wascally wabbit with claims that he has been fwamed. A groundbreaking modern day film noir with enough color, comedy & star-studded cartoon cameos to make any hardcore animated film buff want to play pattycake with themselves."

A classic

“As you may have noticed, as a kid, I kind of missed on the whole frenzy around 'Back to the Future' but I sure didn't miss a thing about this flick. Indeed, I was just a little bit older than my own daughter when I watched it in the theater and I just loved the damned thing. Indeed, Zemeckis tried to make a convincing mix of animation and live-action. At the time, it was quite revolutionary and, at my young age, I thought it was just mind-blowing. Back then, I even had a book about this movie collecting all the stickers. Basically, I was a huge fan. Of course, later in my life, I had to re-watch it with my kids (that's the great thing when you get some kids of your own, you get an excuse to watch again all those childhood classics) and I was still impressed. I must admit it, the whole dete” read more

A smart, funny classic

“'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' is a smart, funny classic with wonderful animation, good acting and a clever story

It is 1947, there are cartoons known as "toons" which involves a rabbit Roger married to (some sort of) a sex symbol with high breasts called Jessica Rabbit

Eddie Valiant goes to Toontown where all the toons live in the last 30 minutes, just imagine if the 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' world were entirely animated (except for the live action people)” read more
