I am thankful that I didn’t part with any of my own money in order to watch this film. I went into it with mildly high hopes due to its billing as an ‘apocalyptic road movie’. The back of the DVD case promises ‘cataclysmic traffic jams’, ‘rape, murder, pillage and even cannibalism’ – so why was it such a terrible viewing experience?

"01/27/13 - Definitely the strangest Godard film I've seen yet. I feel as though Godard is trying to state that film as a story-telling method is dead and that cinema should be evolving into it's own art. If this is true I agree with him to a degree and I believe he succeeded with doing that with this film. It really feels like nothing else but pure cinema. A very inaccessible film but I enjoyed it."

"A married couple plan a weekend journey to somewhere in France but they face pieces of French tradition, history and modern day's horrors. Godard criticises just about everything and provokes the viewer in an unique way.
