[Film] Wallace & Gromit ...

No time for a detailed review, but this film was a pleasant surprise for me since I went into the theatre with no prior knowledge or experience of Wallace & Gromit on TV or in any other form and therefore not really knowing what to expect. It turned out to be a very entertaining and funny film. The claymation looks good, and the humour reminds me of Shrek in that the jokes rely a lot on tongue-in-... read more

Ever since I was a little child, I have always been a fan and have admired the Wallace And Gromit shorts. I was unsure about them making a Wallace And Gromit film but now after seeing this film at the cinema when I was 14, I was ever so glad that they did make this film. Wallace And Gromit In The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit and Finding Nemo are in my opinion the cleverest animated films of all time t... read more

Even though I have always been a fan of Wallace and Gromit, to be honest, it is not my favorite feature starring those two amazing characters. If I recall correctly, I saw it when it was released with my wife and step-kids and I have just rewatched it recenly with my daughter. As a matter of fact, I prefer 'The Wrong Trousers' which remains, in my opinion, their best movie. Indeed, I really loved ... read more

A good movie

“Even though I have always been a fan of Wallace and Gromit, to be honest, it is not my favorite feature starring those two amazing characters. If I recall correctly, I saw it when it was released with my wife and step-kids and I have just rewatched it recenly with my daughter. As a matter of fact, I prefer 'The Wrong Trousers' which remains, in my opinion, their best movie. Indeed, I really loved the first and second short movies they made but then, from then on, I thought that the stories were not really inspired. Basically, if you have seen 'The Wrong Trousers' and, to some extent, 'A Close Shave', you'll notice that all the movies afterwards follow the same pattern. They basicaly have the same plot and I always thought it was kind of disappointing. Still, it doesn't change the fact that” read more

My favourite British movies (35 movies items)

"Directed by: Nick Park and Steve Box Plot: Wallace and his loyal dog, Gromit, set out to discover the mystery behind the garden sabotage that plagues their village and threatens the annual giant vegetable growing contest. Note: To be honest, it is not my favorite W&G feature. As a matter of fact, I prefer 'The Wrong Trousers' but since it is the only full length feature they made with those 2 characters, it will do for now. Anyway, the animation is mind-blowing, the jokes are just hilar"

300 From The First Decade Of The New Millennium (300 movies items)

" Okay, while Disney or Pixar don't ever have to worry about Aardman Studios ever taking any food out of their mouths at the box office, the truth is, I prefer their stuff better. It's takes the lighthearted animaton that currently crowds the movie theater industry today and adds British slant to both the dialogue & humor. Which tends to provide a nice little break from all that high-tech formula of the big boys, and a down-to-earthiness quality that's not found from Tim Burtons more macabre & z"

"WINNER: Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit OTHER NOMINEES: Corpse Bride Howl's Moving Castle MY CHOICE: Howl's Moving Castle The award this year went to regular Oscar contenders Wallace and Gromit in their first full length feature 'The Curse of the Were-Rabbit'. As a huge fan of Aardman Animations and Nick Park's previous work, I was very excited to see the film. It's an enjoyable adventure with all the wonderful little touches you'd expect from these characters but... to me, '"
