The one thing that is obvious from watching this film is that the cast and crew had a really enjoyable time making it. Some of that cheerfulness does rub off on you as you watch it too. What starts off as the usual kidnapping fair quickly evolves into a paranormal zombie flick. Cue the yakuza cleaving their way through the undead and you've pretty much summed up the plot.

It's tinged with comedy and it certainly doesn't take itself too seriously. I must say I did get a little bit bored though towards the end as it takes a turn to the even more messed up and non-sensical. I much preferred Azumi to this film, but I am sure there is a lot there for samurai/zombie/Japanese film enthusiasts.
