cannot symphatize with the main character at all, but the movie has good dynamics.

It was a really gorgeous picture and I thought it was very well directed as well. The actors all deliver good perfomances but still the movie failed to really impress me. I guess I was rather bored by the whole story and didn't care much about the characters involved. Still worth a look though.

So, is this a regency romance? Or.... almost? I suppose that all that I know for certain, is that it's better than any 'Pilgrim's Progress'. And although it's not as good as Jane, I think, it certainly seems better than Bronte, or Dickens. Or Marc Anthony. :P (8/10) |
Growing up poor in London, Becky Sharp (Witherspoon) defies her poverty-stricken background and ascends the social ladder alongside her best friend, Amelia.
