Weird but very enjoyable!

Vanilla Sky is a dark psychologically disturbing film that reminds me of films like Eyes Wide Shut, The Fountain, Mulholland Drive and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind but all in different ways. Of the people I have spoken and the reviews I have read about this film, personally I think that Vanilla Sky is a very enjoyable film. I mean, I love psychological films that just get inside your head... read more

Alarm ...

You open your eyes, and a little humidity around forever. The room is dark: the first rays of the sun newly risen recently painted space in the soft golden-pink palette. Exhausted after sleeping hand automatically reaches for the alarm clock to turn off so familiar to you female voice. Quite casually getting up from one of those funny poses, where you always wake up, you ... read more

Amazing movie. It started out so inconspicuously and ended so brilliantly. I am becoming more & more of a Tom Cruise fan. Cameron Crowe did a wonderful job.

David Aames has it all: wealth, good looks and gorgeous women on his arm. But just as he begins falling for the warmhearted Sofia, his face is horribly disfigured in a car accident. That's just the beginning of his troubles as the lines between illusion and reality, between life and death, are blurred.

The future kind of sucks. (354 movies items)

"Reason for the future sucking: Imagine, waking up from being cryogenically frozen, and discovering that money is virtually worthless. But at least, you wake up looking like Tom Cruise, so at least there's that. Year it takes place: 2151"

Too Many Remakes, Reboots,...... Part 2 (9 movies items)

"While I only vaguely remember the two films, the original Abre Los Ojos (Open Your Eyes) was certainly superior. Seriously, what's up with all the American remakes of far superior foreign films?"

An average movie

“To be honest, it has been a while since I have seen this flick and maybe I should re-watch it at some point. Anyway, I always had some mixed feelings about the damned thing. I mean, on one hand, it is one of the very few movies starring Tom Cruise which was slightly more risky than his usual features but, on the other hand, it felt like another pointless US remakes. Indeed, even though it was visually interesting, it didn’t really add much to the original version. On top of that, even though ‘Abre los ojos’ was pretty good, I can’t say I was a huge fan and this remake gave me pretty much the same feeling. Basically, it was a decent mind-f*ck with a star cast but, in my opinion, it all felt slightly pretentious to me. Still, I have to admit it, Tom Cruise was really good here and we” read more
