"Remember, remember,
The fifth of November,
The gunpowder treason and plot.
I know of no reason
Why the gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot."

V for Vendetta is a monumental science fiction action-thriller, denoting the duly excellent redemption of The Wachowski Brothers. After helming two horrendously disappointing sequels to their landmark sci... read more

The brothers Wachowsky, after «Matrix», the (re) puts the power less distinctive this time. Both the script and from the insight of James McTeigue burst the 'V' (Hugo Weaving), an angry Don Quixote who hates authority and the average person has learned to fear. At his side is the Evey (Natalie Portman) a classical type of anti-hero who symbolizes the potential each of us. On the other side can s... read more

Description: Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, V For Vendetta tells the story of a young working-class woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked man known only as "V." Profoundly complex, V is at once literary, flamboyant, tender and intellectual, a man dedicated to freeing ... (more)

Some of my favorite movies. (20 movies items)

" ___ DIRECTED BY ~James McTeigue ─ V : Voilà ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition."

Movie Reviews (part 5) (50 movies items)

" The Ups: Great visuals. Natalie Portman make one of the better performances of her career. Full circle with the use of John Hurt as the Leader of this universe as he was the hero in "1984". The Downs: The ending is changed from the original graphic novel making it all less effective really."
