This series has moved so far from the original UniSol (1992) concept that I'm stunned. What the hell was going on? I was kinda pleased with the bordello scene, because Dolph Lundgren hasn't looked that cool in twenty years."

Scott Adkins on Ben Affleck, joka...... no en minä vittu tiedä. Annan tavallaan plussaa paristakin asiasta. Ainakin elokuvan visuaalisuus on yllättävän kiva lukuunottamatta"

I kind of liked the cinematography in this, because it reminded me of Winding Refn's Drive with the lighting and all, but fighting scenes could have been done better in that regard still. In the final duel especially they really did those slow-motions and everything to the tiring max (but the shorter fight before that was actually much better and imaginative one). I wouldn't say something like using a POV-shot is terribly original, but the very first scene actually worked and the dark"

"Daddy... There's monsters in the house..."
Apart from the slow start this is a very good action movie. Scott Adkins really get's to show off his fighting skills here. The last 40 minutes or so is just him kicking ass non stop. The story makes little sense, but that is usual with these Universal Soldier movies. I also really liked the 3D here. It was surprisingly good. Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren have disappointingly little screen time though. They are just in it about 5 minutes to"

Tuli hetken mielijohteen ansiosta katsottua kun tältäkin saatanan franchiseltä on tullut uusi elokuva vanhojen pallistelijoiden kanssa. Ja hämmentävää oli. En kyllä yhtään tiedä mitä tästä leffasta pitäisi ajatella. Viihdyin tämän parissa odotuksiin nähden varsin hyvin.
Juoni on jotain mindfuck-paskaa ja voisi perustua ihan hyvin mihin tahansa muuhun, kuin Täydelliseen sotilaaseen. Ihan käsittämätöntä, miten mullistunut ja vakavoitunut koko kuvio on tänä päivän"

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning is a different film to what most people will be anticipating. It may feature franchise mainstays Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, but it's a unique beast altogether, defying expectations to take the Universal Soldier series in unexpected directions. It's completely removed from the tone and intent of 1992's original Universal Soldier, replacing light-hearted summertime escapism with Heart of Darkness-style madness carrying a sinister tone. Isn't it astonishing that, after two TV movies and a terrible theatrical sequel in the 90s, the once tattered Universal Soldier franchise has now been resurrected with panache?
"Viewed on an LG Cinema 3-D screen
This was a great experience in 3-D. It was shot natively in the format, which means it looks genuinely 3-D. Nice sense of depth and it heightens the immediacy of several action scenes."

"Daddy... There's monsters in the house..."
This was... not what i expected from the sixth Universal Soldier movie. First of all, the action scenes were great. The fights were really brutal and fantastic. It got a little repetitive with the slowing down and then speeding up trick done all the time in every single fight, but other than that they were great. Kind of reminded me of the fights in The Raid. But the story was just really weird. This film is by the same director who did "
