I’ve voraciously eaten up each and every single one of the direct-to-DVD DC animated films, and I’ve generally never bothered with the Marvel ones. Perhaps it’s the bias that’s inherent because the DC films come off of an entire, singular universe that began with Batman and ended with Justice League Unlimited. I enjoy these types of films, however this was not ultimate by any stretch of the mind. The plot was decent, however it bored me in a way that should not have been present at all! The Avengers are an amazing group of superheroes and this didn't have enough action and friggin' Thor wasn't given his righteous beard ! The scenes involving the Hulk were probably the most decent thing about this film..... read more

"May 11 Who knew I would be watching 2 Avengers movies in 1 day. This was watched in drama because the new one came out recently. I have seen the sequel to this which I barely remember. This was OK, but I thought it was forgettable like the second one."

“I enjoy these types of films, however this was not ultimate by any stretch of the mind. The plot was decent, however it bored me in a way that should not have been present at all! The Avengers are an amazing group of superheroes and this didn't have enough action and friggin' Thor wasn't given his righteous beard ! The scenes involving the Hulk were probably the most decent thing about this film..maybe I'm just bitter, but this could have been improved greatly. Watching the other films associated with this film is causing me to be very skeptical now. I don't feel like going in to very specific flaws and examples because this film isn't really worth it.

Perhaps it’s the bias that’s inherent because the DC films come off of an entire, singular universe that began with Batman and ended with Justice League Unlimited. While Marvel’s forays into animation brought out varied results. For the very great series like Spider-Man or X-Men, there was an Avengers: United They Stand or Iron Man. But I finally decided to give these a shot, and started with their first release: Ultimate Avengers.

I really wish that next year’s live action foray for this superhero team possesses a script as interesting, characters as dynamic, and action sequences as exciting as this one. Growing up, I lov” read more
