Reviews of Twilight
Overrated

(A review of Twilight)I am one of the few people that didn't read the books.
Actually, I started to read the beggining of New Moon. I can say I tried.
I like a book with good storyline, style, language and it should be entertaining or it should just blow me away but I found nothing in Twilight that I enjoy.
Unreasonable to be that huge parade around it, the whole Twiligh thing is really overrated. And that makes me to hate it. And that my friends are so annoying when they hyping about this movie. Everyone's in love with Edward, Robert Pattinson become the sex symbol of our time...No way!
I had to watch a movie at my friend's who's still crazy about it, and I thought what's cheep in written words could be an other experience on the screen, but I was so naive. It's really a movie for stupid people.
Not to mention the cast.
I really hope the whole thing will wear off soon but it doesn't seem to be.
+ They ruined the whole vampire cult for me.
Eww, glittery vampires!

Not even a vampire film!

(A review of Twilight)I didn't really want to see this film at first because I'm not really a big fan of vampire films. I was really surprised and curious of why this film was so popular and overrated at the same time which is the only reason why I watched it. I thought that Twilight was going to be an absolutely awful film but I thought it was an enjoyable film with flaws. It is a silly story but is a fun one to watch. I have to say that Twilight is one of the most over-hyped films ever. I think it's because of the popularity of the books and also of Robert Pattison being in the film especially when he played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. To me, Twilight feels like the 2008 Golden Compass. Reasons are because both are popular winter blockbusters, both are the first of a series of novels and films and both are films that people love or hate. I think I am going to try and watch the next films of the Twilight series.
Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen was a decent character but I think that Pattinson only attracted young girls for looks not playing the character. He is an over-hyped actor already after appearing in two blockbusters and still being only in his early 20s. Edward is a nice character but is a rather silly one like the whole film is anyway. Kristen Stewart is already a Hollywood actress even though she's only 18 (only 1 year older than me) after Panic Room, Zathura and Into The Wild but Twilight is a good performance from her but I wouldn't call it a brilliant one though. I could feel the love she had for Edward and what she would do for him despite the consequences of him being a vampire.
This is one of the very rare films that has been directed by a woman. I think only this and Lost In Translation are the only films that I have seen that have been directed by a woman. I think this would have been a good Andrew Adamson film because of the two Narnia films. I hope that they stick with the same director as this one for New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn otherwise it will ultimately fail.
Overall, Twilight is a good film that has some bad qualities that I am glad I watched but probably wouldn't watch again. I don't see why people rave about it so much. It's the same thing with High School Musical apart from that is ultimate crap and Harry Potter and I love the films in that franchise. There haven't been hardly any winter blockbusters at all in 2008 but I'm embarassingly saying that Twilight is best winter film.

Underdeveloped? Understatement.

(A review of Twilight)Ok, I felt the need to post a small (and probably disorganized) comment on this one.
Before watching the movie, I thought it was probably a little lame, a bit this or that... but that it might be kinda cute and fun to watch... Nope.
It's so damn empty and flawed...!
Oh the acting, the plot, the whole thing... I mean, not even the freaking relationship between the pair was well developed! (How did that happen?)
Plus, I don't even see what's so attractive about Edward (and by the way, I saw Pattinson looking better, elsewhere), as he just striked me as an albino-looking creature, who's awkward not in any cute or cool way.
Seriously, the "story" is remarkably close to unexisting, and it makes me wonder what caused such a huge fuss, buzz, a phenomenon!... And the wondering is in vain, as I can't see what such a frightening number of teenagers saw here. [the movie, not the book; I can't comment on the book]
Everyone knows that Vampires have always been this, attractive thing, for a number of reasons, used in literature and cinema, but here, nothing is taken out of there, and more importantly, it also failed to build anything else or achieve anything of any other nature (regardless of the vampire thing).
Everything is undeveloped. The story, plot, every character, and unfortunately the acting as well... (oh, perhaps the étalonnage and all that is a little "overdeveloped"...)
My opinion.
No action or effects or pretty boys or whatever could turn it (and none of them are great). Besides the plot-holes, the interest-lacking characters, and the weird kinda-non-existing-appealing-romance-for-a-love-story, it's just plain boring, never quite managing to get entertaining.

(A review of Twilight)People say it's a teenager movie/book. It doesn't matter. I liked it. I like the second book and I also wanna see the second movie. I think the media on it it's kinda overrated but it was a very nice surprise even tough it had a lot of flaws.

(A review of Twilight)Hearing all the rave about this movie (mostly from teenagers) I decided to watch with my wife and daughter to see what the buzz was about.
Basically what this seems to be is a soapy teenage twist of Romeo and Juliet with a vampire angle thrown in. As appealing as watching a teenage vampire boy trying to practice abstinence is, and how, in the heat of the moment, it's really, really hard. And about a girl who wants to go all the way with him, and doesn't care what might happen is appealing to a teenage audience, I found it yet another film in a trend of irritating cash-in's directed at particular audience.
"Twilight" will mesmerize its target audience, 16-year-old girls drooling over two good-looking kids who want each other so much because they want each other so much. Sometimes that's all it's about, isn't it? They're in love with being in love. Between the soft sighs aimed at the Indian boy with well-developed fangs, and the countless "He's so hot!" directed at pasty Edward who stirs surrender instincts, I tried to remember why this stuff is appealing to teenagers, it made me appreciate that I wasn't one any more.

(A review of Twilight)Personally, I prefer the Twilight books to the movie. But curiosity drives me to watch them anyways. Don't get me wrong, I love the movies, not as much as everyone else; but recently the fans as well as mass marketing has made me want to burn everything on Twilight with a flame thrower ._. I don't want to walk into a store and see music boxes, perfumes, body glitter....on Twilight. It bothers me that I have to see it everywhere. It's annoying to walk into a store and see a shirt say "I Kissed A Vampire and I Liked It" or "I Like Boys Who Sparkle" Sure, it was fun when it first came out, when I was really into the books but now I want to destroy it all. Like I said before I love the movies, I'm really excited to see the next one in the saga....but please can we all just take a break from it all. DX

(A review of Twilight)This must be one of the most retarded moments ever.
Edward Cullen: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
Isabella Swan: What a stupid lamb.
Edward Cullen: What a sick, masochistic lion.
Seriously, this movie is so lame and embarassing, it doesn't even deserve a proper review.
My rate is not lower only because of these 5 reasons:
1. Robert Pattinson
2. Robert Pattinson
3. Robert Pattinson
4. Robert Pattinson
5. Robert Pattinson

(A review of Twilight)TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern-day love story between a teenage girl and a vampire. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when a clan of new vampires – James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) – come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life?
