Too-old and unconvincing to star as a soldier in an epic movie actor Brian Cox appears in yet another epic movie in his usual rent-a-general role. Aside from his inclusion, the rest of the film is pretty spectacular, despite the luke warm reception it got from cinema goers.

" Troy is not historical correct, but it is thrilling. However, I do not think that the actors manage to create memorable characters. Troy tries to be as epic as Gladiator, but it ends up to be nothing more than just a movie that is above mediocre. "
